Our education is based on the principles, methods, and activities of educators who have gone before us, especially of Maria Montessori. We know that every child learns differently and at their own pace. Children learn well in a prepared environment with caring adults and natural materials.
Our educational philosophy also draws from the play-based approach. We believe that purposeful play is an important way for children to learn. Children are thinkers, reflecting about their world. As children play, they gain knowledge by building on a path of ever-increasing knowledge and learn through the process of their efforts. We encourage talking, reading, writing, and thinking. We provide many open-ended activities that focus on the process, rather than the product. We offer many play-based opportunities to enable the children to follow their own interests, and practice decision-making.
